Customer Reviews on Saukhyam pads

I love them so much! I first bought only one and used it as much as I could for my cycle with washing and drying. It was so much more comfortable than the plastic lined stuff.

I have now bought more in different sizes, and for me now, plastic is a thing of the past. Overall love Saukhyam Reusable Pads … and keep wondering, why would anybody be using anything different ?!!

I tried Saukhyam Reusable Pads after already trying another cloth pad from an Indian maker. Basically, I was searching for a pad for my heavy flow days. And Saukhyam didn’t disappoint me. The pads come in beautiful prints and colors. Great product.

Saukhyam Reusable Pads do a fantastic job even on my days of heavy flows. They dry super fast. If I hang them up for drying in sunlight, they are ready for use again within 3–4 hours. The design is such that the inserts just look like a piece of cloth or a handkerchief. Best thing is that they don’t stain, if you rinse in cold water first. I am really happy with the pads.

Recently, I started using Saukhyam Reusable Pads. Initially, I thought that they might be a little uncomfortable to use, because they look bulky. But when I actually started using them, I realized that I was wrong. They were super comfortable and they last for a long time. With these pads I don’t have to frequently go and change like I earlier would with the disposable pads. Washing and drying is easy, and there is no hassle of disposing anything anywhere. I would say to all women out there - if you love yourself, this is the best gift you can give yourself.

I started using Saukhyam pads just this year. It took some adjusting as the Saukhyam pad felt a bit thicker compared to a regular pad. But I felt dry and comfortable through the day.  The thing that amazed me the most was that there was no unpleasant smell of a soiled pad. Even at the end of the day, it smelt fresh. The base is secured with a button, so there is no worry of slippage of the pad. With the vibrant colours, I'm not shy to dry my pads on the laundry line! I’m very happy that I made the switch. I hope I have made a small contribution to sustainability by reducing the number of pads used. Grateful to my Amma for initiating and inspiring this wonderful project. I hope it reaches as many young women as possible.

I have used the banana fiber reusable pads for about 1 year now. I feel very comfortable, stable and solid using those pads when I have my period. I like the design and the way that there is a base piece that can be worn the whole day and I only need to change the inserts.

The banana fiber does absorb well and feels very comfortable and friendly to the body. I really like the idea that these pads use natural resource (banana fiber) that up till now was mostly not used.

Washable sanitary pads are really practical and healthy. They prevent the use of synthetic materials which are harmful to the environment and our health. I really feel they are ideal for everyday life, no need to plan ahead and buy anymore and they totally work well during travels as well. I just have them always with me and the washing is easy and they dry quick! Why deprive yourself of such a good way of managing your period? It's better for the planet and better for us!

I was asked to test the reusable Saukhyam pads more than a year ago. Because I also use the moon cup, I said I would only need the medi size for extra safety. What do you do with the used/stained pads when changing? I would recommend carrying a plastic zipper pouch to keep them in when having to change outside of one’s home. So ... a bit more effort is involved by using reusable pads but there are so many advantages with taking this little extra effort on. Especially the effect on the earth that makes it so incredibly worthwhile.

For the past year, I have been using the Saukhyam Reusable Pads made from lovely colors and patterns during every one of my monthly cycles ... and they are still fine and well to go for some more years. It`s a nice feeling not to have to throw away like I used to do for the one-time-use pads, where so much plastic is being wasted after such a short time of actually using them.

It is very easy to wash the pads right away after use or to keep soaking after a quick pre-wash. They also dry quickly. When hanging on the laundry lines, no hiding place is needed for discretion, because the colors and patterns of the Saukhyam Pads look so appealing and lovely.

The user guide is very helpful for one to know how to use the pads in the right way. Initially, when starting to use them, by mistake I would keep the leak proof layer on top instead of down which of course resulted in that the blood did not get absorbed. I also did not know how to fold the cloth properly until I studied the user guide and got the right understanding.

Before I started using the pads, I felt they may not be comfortable because they have a button on the bottom below the panty but when using them you realize that they are very comfortable and do not notice the button at all. I feel they are much more comfortable than the conventional disposable pads. In my experience they are very simple to wash and dry so surprisingly fast. I would recommend them to anyone wishing to live a more simple and sustainable life.

I didn’t use reusable pads before. I had tried using biodegradable pads but they were really expensive. About one year ago I started using the Saukhyam Reusable Pads. Initially I only got 1 to test it out and then got 2 more later because they had gained my trust and I felt comfortable.

My period is rather light that is why I can manage with only 3 of them. Only sometimes when I’m really busy I go back to using disposable pads but I really try not to do that, not to create waste. Even the way to wash them is quite easy of course it takes a little more effort but those 10 minutes washing and hanging them up to dry doesn’t feel like a big deal to me compared to the waste I would be creating otherwise. I also never experienced any problem of leakage because they have a leakproof layer.

We use so many plastic throwaway products so this is one step for me to reduce this kind of waste. It also makes me grateful that I’m not creating this messy waste which someone else has to take care of.

By switching over from disposable sanitary pads to the Saukhyam Reusable Pads, I have overcome issues I faced with itching and discomfort previously. I really feel that Saukhyam pads are a good solution because they are better for women’s health and don’t contain harmful chemicals like disposable sanitary pads do. Saukhyam pads are cost effective as well, as you only need to purchase them once and then you are set for your entire cycle.

My experience with the Saukhyam Reusable Pads has been positive. I like that that they use cotton and banana fiber. They are comfortable to wear and feel better than the disposable plastic pads. By using these products, we are not contributing to more harmful waste for the environment.  Also these pads do save you money because you don't have to purchase them every month.
